The VIP offers an in-depth look at technological developments in the field of electricity. The multimedia feature An Insight Into Electrical Energy and the Global Energy Challenge sheds light on the development of electricity sources, the energy transition process and the european Green Deal. In the second application, Project LIGHTINGSOLUTIONS, you can find an overview of the context, background and main activities of the LightingSolutions project. The manual sets out the methodology for collecting data, carrying out an analysis of the existing lighting situation and for identifying the savings potential. It provides methods both for carrying out the activities, inventorying the situation and compiling lighting inventories, and for drawing up a comparative study of the status and savings potential of lighting in the municipalities within the LightingSolutions project.
Indoor lighting is discussed in more detail. The publication accurately describes the factors that define the characteristics of good lighting and are a prerequisite for a suitable workplace in terms of visual perception. In addition to illuminance, the method considers and evaluates factors such as illuminance uniformity, glare, contrast and colour rendering index.
The manual is intended for both lighting professionals and non-professionals who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of lighting technology.
